Dear Member/s
Thank you for your continued loyalty and support towards Salcombe Rugby Football Club and welcome to the 2020/21 rugby season. However, due to the current climate and Covid 19 we are not sure when this will be, as we are following the RFU guidelines on ‘Return to Play’.
During lockdown the club took time to re-evaluate its business structure and as a result the club is now open on a Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Please see the club website and Facebook page for details of the opening times.
The club really appreciates the continued support of its membership during these difficult times.
As Chairman, I would like to thank the Board and Committee who continue to assist with the smooth running of the club.
On the playing side, the 1st XV again won the Devon Merit Table S&W and are now preparing for the challenges that present itself after successfully applying to re-join Devon 1. Senior rugby training is held on a Tuesday and Thursday evening.
The club’s Junior section chaired by Martin Gautier is always looking to recruit helpers to assist in any way they can. So, if you are interested, please speak to Martin to join this thriving part of the club.
Minis and Little Nippers training is held here at the club on a Friday evening. Little Nippers training is also held on a Sunday morning at the club. Minis matches are played on a Sunday morning, with new players always made welcome.
On behalf of Salcombe Rugby Football Club, I would like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to welcoming you at the club soon.
To keep up to date with the club, please follow us on either the Facebook Salcombe RFC page or the club website www.salcomberugby.org.uk
Be Careful and Be Safe.
Yours faithfully
Mark Lidstone
Salcombe Rugby Football Club - Chairman
